This fascinating trip of Ama Dablam Base Camp offers superb views of Mount Everest and unforgettable scenery of the Ama Dablam Base Camp.
Ama Dablam means 'mother's necklace'-the hanging glacier resembles a 'dablam' which is a piece of traditional jewellery worn by Sherpa women. Ama Dablam base camp trekking trail shares the same trail with Everest base camp Trek and Kala Patthar until Pangboche (3930m). The trail separates either from Tengboche monastery or Phortse village but after reaching Pangboche, it is just a day hiking trip to Ama Dablam base camp.
Amadablam Base Camp Trek is one of the most well recognized trekking trails in the Khumbu region offering an opportunity to get closer the world's highest mountains including Ama Dablam, Nuptse, Lhoste, Kangtega and so on. Besides natural scenery, it also provides opportunity to mix ourselves in the culture, tradition and religion of the Sherpas.
